Building up to the launch of our new project with Catesby’s of Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk, we spent a few days by the coast. Jamie Orlando Smith provided the photographic expertise to help complete the new site which is set to be Beautiful, Useful and Original – to say the least.

Birch Website Update: Virginie Litzler

October 17, 2011 · Posted in Photography, Website · Comment

Virginie Litzler’s photographic work articulates urban spaces and gestural movements. The project naturally developed as a collaborative endeavour, seeking to extend her working processes rather than displaying photography as a traditional portfolio site.

Built as a single page, the website uses scrolling to distinguish between work, writing and other information – drawing on Virginie’s interest in space.

The site can be explored both as a traditional website and on mobile devices. Visit the website.

Birch Website Update: Experientell

August 4, 2011 · Posted in Collaboration, Website · Comment

Experientell is a bi-lingual platform for commercial and cultural experiences. The name Experientell is derived from the English word ‘experiential’ relating to experience and the German word ‘visuell’ relating to the sense of sight.

Experientell is a collaborative project between Birch and Lars Laemmerzahl. Birch was fortunate enough to be invited to join the project from the beginning. This allowed us the time to work as part of the team to develop a system which perfectly matches the requirements of the project.

Join the debate on the Experientell website.

A Visit to Virginie Litzler’s Studio

July 6, 2011 · Posted in Collaboration, Photography, Website · Comment

Over the last few months we’ve had the pleasure of working with Virginie Litzler on her new website. Whilst the launch is just round the corner we can only show you a peek of what we have been up to in the studio. Working with lots of prints on the walls and scribbles in notebooks we’ve had a great time and are very excited to be so near to showing everyone what we have been up to.

Until then you can read Leo Benedictus’s ‘Best Shot’ interview with Virginie on the Guardian website.
