But more about that later.
Last Wednesday we made our way down to the Dunhill x Monocle event held at the rather lovely home of the Alfred Dunhill clothiers on Davies Street. Particularly intrigued by Gianni Riotta and his experience of the news industry we highly recommend watching the video of the evening when it is available. Check back and we’ll let you know when it’s out.
Just found a photo of James and Elliot over at Wolf and Badger for a quick peek at what’s new in the collection with our trusted tailors Atelier Colpani (highly recommended for any suit chopping and trouser tapering).
We’ve just come back from a trip to visit our good friend Harry Watts who has being working at Martin Parr’s studio. We’re a bit jealous that Harry gets to spend his time looking through the archive. Unfortunately for us we’ll have to settle for a couple of snaps to show just how much work there is (and this is just one wall).
A belated congratulations to the artist currently known an Daniel Mather who is exhibiting some fine seriography over at Look Mum No Hands as part if the Artcrank exhibition. We wish Dan all the best with his new screen printing endeavour and highly recommend him if you need a highly skilled printer to edition your next set of posters.

We would just like to say a big thank you to everyone who made it to the birthday party on Royal Festival Hall’s balcony last Friday. We had a great time and it was wonderful to see everyone. Bring on year three!
It’s been a while since we were joined in the studio by Alistair. He’s been on his travels across Europe but has returned with a handsome tan and a new pair of spectacles. Welcome back Ali.
On Friday evening we headed over to the Open Studios event in SE1 to have a beer with our friends over at Mortar&Pestle. A fine display of work donned the tables and walls around the studio, including a few pieces printed by Black Box Press.
On the evening we were pleased to bump into two very talented photographers: on our way to the studio we saw Luca Sage, photographing black walls at the time. Be sure to check out Lucas beautiful Portrait series.
And lastly Harry Watts was photographing portraits of the boys behind Mortar&Pestle studio; Daniel Camacho and Richard Knowles, on the night. See the portraits below.
For all of you who like to change their plans at the last minute it is the opening of the Colchester degree show tomorrow evening. We’ll be making our way down and are especially excited about seeing what the Fine Art BA, Graphics BA and Foundation courses have been up to.
